Schools and Minority Students

Most schools have significant proportions of minority students.

  • In the Five County Region, no schools have 0-10% minorities, but few schools have ≤ 20% minorities.
  • In the 5CR, over 1/3 schools have ≥ 90% of students who are minorities.
  • In Los Angeles County, more than 1/2 schools have ≥ 90% of students who are minorities.
  • Outside Los Angeles County, 1/3 schools have 80-100% minorities.
  • In Los Angeles Unified School District, 2/3 schools have ≥ 90% of students who are minorities.
  • Thus, there are significant proportions of schools with high minority enrollment.

Most students attend schools with high proportions of minority students.
