In the LA Unified School
District, most schools are high poverty schools.

- In the Five County Region, schools have varying proportions of
students who are poor.
- Nevertheless, in the 5CR, approximately 1/3 schools have
≥ 80% of students who are poor.
- In Los Angeles County, approximately 2/5 schools have
≥ 80% of students who are poor.
- Outside Los Angeles, only about 1/5 schools
have ≥ 80% of students who are
poor.
- In Los Angeles Unified School District, almost 3/5 schools
have ≥ 80% of students who are
poor.
- Thus, though poor schools are evenly distributed throughout the
5CR overall, poor schools are more concentrated in LACO than OLACO.
