Students designated as non-English speaking are less likely to have a fully credentialed teacher.

  • The relationship is strongest in Los Angeles County, where most of the region's non-English speaking students reside.
  • In LACO, districts with less than 20% of students designated as non-English speakers have more than 84 % fully credentialed teachers.
  • In LACO, districts with more than 50% of students designated as non-English speakers have less than 65% fully credentialed teachers.
