Student Access to school nurses is limited, but improving slightly.

  • In the Five County Region, there are nearly 2400 students for every school nurse in the system.
  • The availability of nurses has improved slightly since 1994.
  • There is wide variation in 5CR, with Los Angeles Unified School District students having the lowest access to school nurses.

Student access to school counselors is limited, but also improving slightly.
